Robert – Robert. You are indeed a very strange Australian person. I suppose that it comes from hanging upside-down, down below the line there.
Hope you are having a good summer.
I have to go now and clear some snow from the drive.

Everybody here ready to welcome in 2008? Some have already done so, I think! Maybe it's because I was born in an even-numbered year, but I have a better feeling about these even-numbered years than about the odd-numbered ones. Come on in, 2008, and make yourself at home!

Merry Christmas everyone! ;D
We've left beer, carrots and shortbread out for Santa and his reindeers. Why the kids think reindeers drink beer and eat shortbreads I'll never know.

According to my calendar this must be Christmas Eve.
Since I am agnostic and my wife, if anything, is Jewish and there are no children about here, tomorrow is going to be pretty much just another Thursday. And, oh yes, no TV.
Two weeks ago it started snowing; the snow fell off the roof and lunched the TV satellite dish. I tried to start my tractor to clear the driveway to let the repairman in; however, its battery decided that this would be a good time to retire. Thus the repairman couldn’t get in and I couldn’t get out to get a new battery.
The day before yesterday, with the help of a neighbor and a few warmer days, I did get out and did get a new battery. I spent all day yesterday getting everything cleared, the repairman rescheduled and this morning – guess what? More snow! Back to square one whenever this stops.
Mr. Currier and his life partner, Mr. Ives, should both go out and get themselves stuffed!
To add to my chagrin, recalling that until I was 28 I lived in reasonable contentment without a television and have since expressed derision to those addicted to it; I now find I miss the damned thing.
Could this be withdrawal? Am I just another boob tube junky? Oh dear Lord; let it not be said.
Bah! Humbug!
Please, all of you, ignore all the above, and have yourselves the merriest jolliest Thursday or Christmas or whatever tomorrow.

Merry Christmas everybody. Up at my parents' place on Lake Huron. Lovely, but lots of snow. As consequence, I've been inside reading and eating lots of cookies. Lots and lots of cookies. I feel awful.
Good training Robert! Its a civilised Santa who eats shortbread and drinks beer. Couldn't you convince them that he really, really likes pizza, and makes it worth the while of all the good little girls and boys who take care of him properly?
Hope all is well with all here.

Hm. It's been a year or two now, hasn't it? I lost the address here, believe it or not, when I had trouble with a blog upgrade that trashed my blog altogether.
Anyway, thought I'd pop in and say hello to everyone. I hope you're well and that you've had a wonderful holiday season!

Lucy went with her Mum and they bought school uniforms today. We had a fashion parade and I posted the photos at FaceBook (and emailed them to you). She is soooo excited.

Wrapping the kids' presents and drinking the milk, nibbling on cookies, carrots and apples they left for Santa is just finished and I thought I'd wish you all the best for the Silly Season!
Stay safe in the New Year and have a fascination 2010!
