I bought a set of G&S tapes once, at a time when work as an hour and a half's drive away. I'm pretty good on Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore and the Gondaliers still. My wife will ask me what I'm doing, while cutting the grass. I'm sinking songs, all parts. She warns that I'll scare the neighbours . . . and the cats.

The scary thing about this particular production (actually there were many scary things) was the changed title: HMAS Pinafore
