I doubt anybody will read this, but I guess I miss you guys.
I was back from A'stan two years ago, pretty much on the clock, and in accordance with stereotypes, pretty messed up. Its a funny country.
I hope that you are all well, and enjoying the holiday season.
This is an act of piety, on my part. Some of you were friends for more than a decade.
I apologize for my desertion.

Hi there!
The Reader's Place is defunct. We were using a Ning for awhile, but the site became pay, and we didn't think it was worth it because we didn't all participate frequently enough. Most of us are friends on FB. If you want to friend me, you can find me as Connie Barron Merriman. I'm also on Twitter as Aravis. :0)
I've missed you. Been busy with school. I went back and got a B.A. in Psychology, and am now working on an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
How about all of you?

Wyn,
I knew you had gone over. I'm sorry that things have been so hard, though I'm not surprised. It's not a stereotype, is just a sad fact. We're seeing a lot of that. It's heartbreaking and frustrating. Hope things are getting better. *hug*
Happy holidays to you, too.

Aravis.
Its actually very easy. We, in the contemporary West, just specialize in making the easy very hard. There is not much difficult about that country, except that we forget who we are and mean while there.
That is HARD.
