The Sopranos screens waaay past my bedtime and I've not ever watched it on tv. Recently a friend lent me the whole lot of them on dvd and I'm currently obsessively watching them - I love it. Half way through series 3 and going strong.

ahhh... a fellow fan!.... I'm completely addicted to The Sopranos... imho, it's one of the best written shows on TV these days.... there is a black humor throughout that makes the whole thing work in spite of the violence, foul language, and sexual content to which some people might object.... I can't wait for Season 6....
I'm also very taken with Six Feet Under.... does anyone else watch that?
I think my favorite TV series from the past was Northern Exposure... it is starting to come out on DVD and I still wach the reruns whenever I find them on cable....

I watched NE briefly waaay back but have not ever seen 6 Feet Under - again, it's on too late.
Tony Soprano's hypocrisy is the main source of humour for me and the scripts are brilliant. Just started Season 4.

Nulla, NE is on at 1am, I think it's on the Hallmark channel.
I haven't watched the others.

Uh-oh. I think I ought to have put my post about the program "Do You Speak American?" here instead of in the "Around the Water Cooler Section."
My apologies!

There is very little on Australian televison that is produced in New Zealand but this comedy has made me laugh more than anything I've wathed for a long time. The writers really know schools: http://shop.abc.net.au/browse/product.asp?productid=734612
